How to Update Firmware on Your B2 SixTen DSP (Android)

Updating the firmware ensures your B2 SixTen DSP runs smoothly and fixes known issues (such as the Butterworth crossover setting at 12 dB). Follow the steps below carefully using your Android device.

Step 1 – Download the Required Files

Tip: Both files must be saved directly on your mobile device (not only in cloud storage).

Step 2 – Install the Firmware Update App

  1. Locate the FirUpdate.apk file in your phone’s downloads folder.
  2. Open the file to install it. (If prompted, allow installation from unknown sources.)
  3. Once installed, a headphone icon will appear on your phone.

Step 3 – Open the Update App

  1. Tap the headphone icon to launch the update tool.
  2. Allow the app permission to access your phone’s files.
  3. When prompted, select Firmware Update for BLE v1.0.6.

Step 4 – Load the Firmware File

  1. Tap the headphone icon again.
  2. The app will search your device for the packet_AT32_AirplusP10_1.0.15 file.
  3. Select the firmware file when it appears.

Step 5 – Connect to Your DSP

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
  2. In the app, connect to your B2 SixTen DSP via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

Step 6 – Update the Firmware

  1. Once connected, press Update in the app.
  2. The firmware will upload to your DSP.
  3. Wait until the process completes — do not close the app or power off your DSP during the update.

✅ Your DSP firmware is now updated.
This process fixes the Butterworth 12 dB crossover issue and ensures optimal performance.
